ASML完成对Cymer的收购

ASML和Cymer上周五宣布，已经完成此前宣布的两家合并计划，ASML成功收购了Cymer公司，作为该合并结果，Cymer普通股以20.00美元现金外加1.1502的 ASML普通股权益，ASML的股本也将因此增加大约3650万股。

ASML intends to manage Cymer’s commercial operations as an independent division based in the United States, and will continue to deliver and service DUV and EUV sources for all customers on an arm’s length basis.

ASML will continue to let its scanner customers choose their preferred light source, and its scanners will continue to interface with light sources from all manufacturers.

Again the purpose of the acquisition of Cymer is to accelerate the development of EUV semiconductor lithography technology to create microchips with more functions at a lower cost and that are more energy-efficient, consistent with Moore’s Law.

Combining Cymer’s expertise in EUV light sources with ASML’s expertise in lithography systems design and integration will reduce the risk and accelerate the introduction of this extremely complex technology.
